Institute of Japanese Culture, Kyoto Sangyo University

The Kyoto Sangyo University Institute for Japanese Studies was established in 1995 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the founding of Kyoto Sangyo University. Our research institute has conducted interdisciplinary research, mainly focusing on international exchange, in order to clarify the characteristics of Japanese culture cultivated in Kyoto. Furthermore, our institute has started research on court culture and has accumulated research results.
The main activities of our institute are to hold regular monthly research meetings, to present research results by our members, and to invite experts from various fields for discussions. In addition, once or twice a year, we plan and hold lectures and symposiums to return research results to society. Research results are published in the annual publications " Institute report: AOI" and "Bulletin."
