Xue-heng Institute for Advanced Studies, Nanjing University

Xue-heng Institute for Advanced Studies at Nanjing University inherits the spirit of Xueheng (Critical Review), founded by Wu Mi, Liu Yizheng, Liu Boming and so on. Based on the theoretical concern of "glocalization," it engages in deep integration of Chinese and Western cultures and theoretical reflection on modernity issues.The Academy's research focuses on five domains: conceptual history, intellectual history, the Xueheng School, public memory, and social history. Through initiatives like publishing academic serials such as Asian Conceptual History Review, releasing works including the "Xueheng Erya Library" series, and organizing academic conferences, workshops, and lecture series, it has established an interdisciplinary and international academic platform. This platform promotes scholarly exchanges at home and abroad, supports the cultivation of young researchers, and aims to establish a paradigm of indigenous scholarship within a global perspective.
