Israeli Association for Japanese Studies

The Israeli Association for Japanese Studies (IAJS) is a non-profit organization founded in February 2012. It was created to meet the growing academic interest in Japan within Israel and to enhance coordination among researchers and academic institutions working in the field.IAJS promotes Japan-related research and dialogue in Israel, supports Japanese language education, and organizes symposiums, workshops, and conferences on Japanese studies. The association also works to strengthen academic ties and foster collaboration with Japanese studies associations and institutions abroad. Membership is open to researchers, students, and all those interested in Japanese studies and the Japanese language. We warmly invite scholars and students of Japan to join IAJS and help build a dynamic and vibrant academic community for Japanese studies in Israel.
