The Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures at Yale University seeks to make a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in Japanese literature and/or related humanities fields who concentrates in any period from the premodern to the modern, to begin July 1, 2022.
Qualifications: Scholars with any area of specialization, including those whose work traverses multiple East Asian languages and/or is comparative in method are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent degree at time of hire.
